Export Award
Brigitte Annerl named Austria’s Most Successful Export Entrepreneur
The Viennese woman’s success is not limited to the football field. As CEO of Lenus Pharma, she and her company excel also in the world of commerce, receiving the 2020 Austrian Export Award this year.
Entrepreneur Brigitte Annerl was awarded the 2020 Austrian Export Prize on Thursday evening. The prize is considered one of the country’s highest-ranking awards in business. It declares Lenus Pharma as the most successful Austrian export company of 2020.
For company founder, Brigitte Annerl, this year’s business award is a particularly special recognition:
“The export business brings new challenges to master every day—[Working] across continents, across cultural borders, across time differences, and [this year,] throughout COVID. To receive the 2020 Austrian Export Award, despite having faced a global pandemic, is the greatest achievement for all of us!”
With sustained export growth, Lenus Pharma is now represented on five continents in over 70 countries, making it the global market leader in the treatment of male infertility. Although more than 90 percent of the clinically-proven PROFERTIL® is exported worldwide, the product’s true core value remains in Austria—this product, used to combat male infertility, is proudly produced in the Lungau region of Salzburg, for the entire world.
At Lenus Pharma’s Vienna-Ottakring Headquarters, the company’s Export Director & Authorized Signatory, Albert Hansen, as well as other members of the successful Lenus team, work diligently on research, development, and sales.
Brigitte Annerl explains: “When we talk about the ‘Desire to Have Children’, it doesn’t matter whether we are in economically-strong markets, in crisis areas, or anywhere else in the world. The ‘Desire to Have Children’ knows no boundaries. And especially in the trying times of a global pandemic, it is the sign of hope and future.”
In addition to her main job as Founder & CEO of Lenus Pharma, soccer enthusiast Annerl has also been the President of [Austrian Football Club] TSV Hartberg since 2017. The team was promoted from competing in Division 3 to competing in the Bundesliga that same year. Building on this momentum, the team has already reached the UEFA Europa League qualifying round, just last year.
